The Henty Observer and Culcairn Shire Register Fri 19 Jun 1936 Page 4 NEWS FROM OTHER CENTRES The death occurred at the Albury District Hospital of Mr. Robert Milner, of Culcairn, after a short illness. He was 49 years of age, and was born in Derbyshire (Eng.). He had been a resident of Culcairn for 17 years, and was an employee of the railways. He is survived by his widow and three daughters, Eileen, Dorothy and Elsie. The funeral took place at Culcairn on Saturday afternoon, the cortege moving from the Presbyterian Church after a short service had been con- ducted by the Rev. E. J. Daboume. Interment took place in the Presbyter ian portion of the Culcairn cemetery, bearers were Bros. N. E. Gamble, W. Young, F. Morton, J. Fifield, E. Uowmer and R. Guest (Manchester Unity Lodge). After a brief Illness, the death took place In the District .Hospital on Friday of Mr. Robert Mllner, a stal wart of the AL.P. and a prominent unionist, whose proud boast It was that he had never been unllnanclal since he had been a member of a union. Evidence of the esteem In which he was held locally was In the numerous wreaths which were sent by his friends and workmates.- Members of the Manchester Unity Lodge, of which the late Mr. Mllner was a mem ber, as well as citizens from local branches of the A.L.P, the railways and the Culcairn Shire Council at tended the funeral. The' late Mr. Mllner Ls survived by a wife and three daughters.
