She was born in South Australia in 1849 and was married in 1866 to Mr. J. S. G. Hoffmann. In 1870 she and her husband came to N.S.W., making the journey in a wagon. Her husband predeceased her in 1913. She had two sons and two daughters. One daughter predeceased her in 1879. There are 15 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. The funeral service was conducted by Pastor Stolz.
