SCHMIDT. — In loving remembrance of our dear daughter, Adeline, who departed this life at Mountain View on the 16th of March, 1897, aged 24 years. IN MEMORIAM. HOFFMANN. —A loving tribute to the memory of our dear father, J. S. G. Hoffmann, who died at "Mountain View," Walla Walla, on 3rd March, 1912, aged 66 years. He lives in hearts that knew his worth, We who love him sadly miss him, Though we know that God knew best, When He eased his pain and suffering, And took dear father home to rest. —Inserted by his loving daughter and son-in-law, H. and J. The Henty Observer and Culcairn Shire Register Fri 20 Jan 1939 Page 3 WALLA WALLA OBITUARY The death has occurred of Mrs Hilda Augusta Hoffmann at the age of 89. She was born in South Australia in 1849 and was married in 1866 to Mr. J. S. G. Hoffmann. In 1870 she and her husband came to N.S.W., making the journey in a wagon. Her husband predeceased her in 1913. She had two sons and two daughters. One daughter predeceased her in 1879. There are 15 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. The funeral service was conducted by Pastor Stolz.
